Carson cancels $31K dining set order

Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Ben Carson on Thursday ordered his agency to cancel an order for a $31,000 dining room set for his personal office.

"I was as surprised as anyone to find out that a $31,000 dining set had been ordered," Carson said in a statement. "I have requested that the order be canceled. We will find another solution for the furniture replacement."

He added that he might choose a different dining room set, but that his "preference" would be a more "reasonable" price tag.

We will find another solution for the furniture replacement.

How about doing nothing Ben. You don't need a damn dining room at HUD.

Since this is said to be a "replacement", that means he has one now.  If the table and chairs he has now, works (not collapsing if someone sits on a chair, stuff is not falling off the table), keep the one he has now.  This is not a surgical operating room for this brain surgeon, so can the new furniture.

Don’t be unreasonable, Frank. He need somewhere to eat his lake trout sub and drink grape soda.

LOL. Hilarious. If that's the menu all they need is a cut down 55 gallon drum and some milk crates for their dining furniture.
