On the second part, NO, I was convinced I couldn't live without them, classic definition of serious addiction.

@Emjay

I am, part and parcel, what you hate then.
But I see that the other way around.

When I was using western med for treatment, I was spending 200-1500 bucks a visit to various doctors, and had a 300-500 dollar a month habit toward pharmaceuticals... All of which were designed to maintain... to keep me exactly in that state.

OTOH, the most I ever paid to a 'quack' was a pound of tobacco , and most of my medicine is foraged for free, or readily available as food.

And take a guess which one is actually working better.

Sounds like you were a bit screwed around by your doctors and have found something cheaper and better.  Good for you.

No personal insult intended.
Against stupidity, the Gods themselves contend in vain.

IMHO, bottom line ... Sessions has proven to be pretty ineffective as an AG and he did himself no favors by making the comment.

Just to be clear ... for our visitors ... Jeff Sessions never said "Chronic pain sufferers should take an aspirin and tough it out".

Never.

I read his full statement, in context, and it demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the needs of people who are in genuine chronic pain.  A perfect illustration of why big government needs to stay the Hell away from that spot they've assumed between Doctors and patients.  They are already there, and they need to get out now.

To clarify a little, the Feds are only part of the problem (through the DEA), it's the States that are doing the heavy lifting of denying treatment by threatening Doctors' licenses who are prescribing these medications for their patients in pain.

Wow, RIV you are so transparent and childish. (Perhaps you're still upset because you refuse to admit that Trump stated he was against amnesty?)  :silly: :rolling: :facepalm: :facepalm2:

The videos of Sessions depicts him as the ineffective little weasel that he is! He has made comment(s) about aspirin that I find it absurd. Just to be clear, he has been quoted by several news sources and those quotes have been varied as to his opinions on opioids, medical marijuana, etc.  Whatever! The fact of the matter is this country is experiencing a opioid epidemic.  There are 2 ways for one to obtain opioids; either legally as prescribed by their doctor or illegally on the street.  Yes, we have doctors prescribing opioids unnecessarily and we have doctors that run pill mills. That's the issue that needs to be addressed and the second issue is how do we help those people who are already addicted? Obviously by not taking an aspirin. vSession has proven to be a worthless AG and Trump should have fired him long ago! IMHO Sessions IS part of the Hillary corruption!

Hey, thanks for the warning on the F-bomb being dropped within the first 2 minutes of that first video.  Jeez.   ****slapping

"Ooops" ... I suppose is at least in order, but my disdain for Sessions has grown and is not limited to his stance on opioids and aspirin.  His lack of action on holding those within his own department responsible, I find despicable and I feel aligns him with Clinton corruption. I do though find some humor in the little weasel as he so reminds me of 'Granny Clampet'; though she was a bit tougher and held those around her somewhat accountable!

Yikes. I'm sorry.  I'll definitely be more careful in the future and post a warning.
