If you were going for winches, you were doing it all wrong.

I was at a very vulnerable point in my Life @Sanguine, recently divorced and all.  It was my Vietnam II, for I was incredibly lucky to have received no diseases out of the whole CF.
No government in the 12,000 years of modern mankind history has led its people into anything but the history books with a simple lesson, don't let this happen to you.

"I was just there last week for work.  When the locals recommended a place to eat, drink, or listen to music, the advice was the same for every place:
Park as close as you can and don't walk around the neighborhood."

Why would anyone (at least any white folk) want to go to a place like that, in a neighborhood like that, in a city like that?

Not me.
No thanks.

I read  an article a few years ago by some hipster journalist who moved his family to a dangerous part of L.A. because..ta da!!!...the area had a lot of ethnic restaurants.
Imagine explaining moving your family to a dangerous neighborhood so you could eat ethnic food.
The guy eventually had to move his family out because (you guessed it) there were several shootings/robberies in the area.
But, of course, the convenience of having ethnic restaurants close by is far more important than your family's safety.  9999hair out0000

The blue pills must not have worked for him if he went for a winch.

Or did he mean his camaro got jacked by a winch and hauled away?

I am so confused!  :pondering:

@goatprairie

Ahhh, but you don't understand the underlying mentality of these people. The whole "ethnic food" thing was just to prove he was hipper than everyone else. The real reason he wanted to move there was to prove he was morally superior as well as braver than everyone else by moving in to live with the animals. It wasn't restaurants he was looking for,it was admiration from his peers and the assumed position of moral superiority that gave  him the standing to look down his nose at all the lesser people  that don't have  his nobility.

If his family was put into danger and had to do a little suffering, well, that's the price you have to pay for greatness, right?

He will now spend the rest of his life talking about "back when I lived in the ghetto....."

As usual the racialists want it both ways. Whites were/are guilty of racism when they moved out of dangerous neighborhoods taking their money with them which could have used to help reinvigorate deteriorating, mostly black neighborhoods.
Whites moving back into mostly black neighborhoods are racist as well because they pump up property values and make things more expensive for the poor people there. The fact that well to do whites moving into those areas also spend money and create jobs is lost on the racialists.
I think what these people really want is for whites to stay out but some national plan created to tax them more for big city pols to spend i.e. waste on more social programs. In fact, a number of big city pols have already said words to that effect.
A few years ago some Indianapolis pol wanted to institute a tax plan to tax the Indy suburbs as many suburbanites worked in the city. I've read articles elsewhere with lib pols wanting to do the same.
The reality is many majority black cities have a very small tax base and cannot pay for all the essential city services. Therefore, the only way to get more money is to tax the mostly white, far wealthier suburbanites.
I think that's a good idea....as long as the suburbanites get to vote for the mayors and other pols of the big cities they're supporting as well as their own suburban communites. The candidates can come from the suburbs as well. I say no taxation without representation.
