Trump furious over DOJ guidance against releasing Nunes memo: report

President Trump blew up in anger after learning that a top Department of Justice (DOJ) official had warned against releasing a classified memo by Republican staffers that allegedly proves an anti-Trump bias in the DOJ, Bloomberg reported Monday.

Trump was furious when he learned that Associate Attorney General Stephen Boyd had said it would be â€œextraordinarily recklessâ€ to release the classified memo.

The incident reportedly took place as Trump was traveling to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, last month.

Sources told Bloomberg that Trump viewed Boydâ€™s letter warning against the release of the memo as another attempt by the DOJ and FBI to undercut him.

I think this is pretty funny, too, from the Hill:

"Trump told McCabe to ask his wife how it felt to be a loser:

President Trump reportedly told then-acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe that he should ask his wife, who had lost a bid for political office in Virginia, how it felt to be a loser, NBC News reported Monday."

I still stand by what I posted a month ago: The Intelligence memo will be shown to all the day before, day of or day after the SOTU speech.

I bet ya that will be one of the most watched SOTU speeches ever. Will the Military be standing outside waiting to catch those weasels that have been named?

Boyd has no business in the DOJ. He was Sessions communications director prior to getting this gig. Anything Sessions related is top notch garbage.

Right on! Absolutely true. At least once a week, Trump or someone on his close staff is "furious" about something. And they always use that exact word, 'furious'. You would think so called journalists would have a broader vocabulary?

That I found funny. President Trump smiled during it, but he never laughed. I have never actually seen him laugh. If I ever do see him actually laugh I will admit he is human.

Well, he could order DOJ to withdraw the "guidance" (since he is the head of the executive branch) and send a polite request to Congress to release it along with the supporting evidence (since he can't order another branch of government to do anything).

It's no longer relevant, now. Congress voted to release it. All he has to do now is wait 5 days and not object to the release.

Now, we'll see if it gets out without heavy redaction.

The GOP lawmaker told Wray to flag any information in the memo that was incorrect, could lead to national security issues or risk FBI sources, according to Politico.

Valid argument @Frank Cannon But the juries still out on meeting the MSM full force as Trump is doing or trying to maintain some semblance of Integrity of the Office as GWB did. Granted Texas is still a wash as far as presidential candidates go after LBJ (and technically Eisenhower) but that F'in Canadian born Cuban Cruz is gonna change that.
