Trump attorneys discussing options for potential Mueller interview: report
By Rebecca Savransky - 01/08/18 07:16 AM EST

President Trump's legal team is reportedly talking about possible formats in case special counsel Robert Mueller asks to interview Trump in the Russia probe.

Lawyers for the president have spoken with FBI investigators about a potential interview, three people familiar with the matter told NBC News.

Trump's legal team has reportedly talked about options for the interview that include written responses to questions instead of a sit-down interview.

A person with direct knowledge of the discussions said they were ongoing and preliminary, according to NBC News.

Remember the howls of protest when Hillary was permitted to submit written answers during the email investigation?  This shouldn’t be a problem for Trump, however. What could possibly go wrong?

I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

Mr. Trump ought to go before the press, and state that he will be happy to appear before Mr. Mueller for the interview, at which the first words he will be greeted with will be.... "you're fired!"

There is no way his attorneys can let Trump be interviewed in person. It would be a disaster.  And if Mueller allows written responses he is a fool.
