What the hell does one's recreation choices have to do with anything?

Trump certainly works harder than Obama did.  Obama spent most of his time dreaming and puffing away in privacy.

I think golfing is a far better way to relax than watching reality television.

And back when we had threads with the subject matter being Obama's excessive golf days, you were here posting defending his choice of recreation.  No?   Hell No. Nobody on this forum thought 26 golf days in 10 months was justified, no matter how hard a president worked.  Trump himself heavily criticized Obama's golf,  saying when he's president he would not be golfing, but instead working to make America Great again.

Chew on this defender of presidential golf days....  The official Golf Days for the first 10 months in office:
Bush      7
Obama  26
Trump   52

Are those the actual numbers?  I had no idea there was such a disparity.

When Obama was playing golf, we had 10% unemployment and a $1,500B deficit. That's the difference.

Remember, Bush was criticized for playing golf after 9/11. The libs criticized him for focusing on golf rather than the crisis.

I have long advocated that Obama spent as much time golfing as possible.   At least while he was golfing,  that idiot couldn't do more damage to society,  to the nation,  and to the world.

We should have begged him to golf every day for the last 8 years.   Let him be the "hood ornament"  for "racial tolerance"  in America,   and nothing else.

At least that way he wouldn't be known as the black guy that completely F***ed up America.

I don't believe these numbers. Obama spent most of his time in office playing golf, fundraising in Los Angles, or at Martha's Vineyard.

That's what he and the media said he was doing. He could have been getting stoned, or playing with his friend Reggie Love.

Navajo Code Talker Breaks Silence After Trump Pocahontas Comment – What He Says, Wow

Quote
Reporter and writer Joshua Green met Thomas Begay, one of the code talkers honored Monday, on his way out of Washington, D.C. Green asked him about the event. Begay said he was “puzzled” about the comment but not offended.

Then Begay dropped a very non safe-space one liner:

“The Marines made us yell ‘Geronimo’ when we jumped out of planes and that didn’t offend me either.”

Personally, it wouldn't offend me in the least if the entire damn government spent most of its time playing
golf. They can't screw up the country further while they're on the links.

Facts are facts. As a teen Trump worked his summer breaks on his father’s construction sites.

But, you’re right, not all construction workers are louts. Most hold readings of Proust and Chaucer between their afternoon coffee break and the concrete pour.

You'd be surprised. I've dug ditches alongside folks with doctorates. And don't let the drawl mislead you - I've read Proust and Chaucer.

Some people here think they are sacred to the point that one cannot mention Pocohantas or have a picture of Jackson around.

I beg your pardon.  I was not on this forum during Obama's reign.  And I am a defender of golf days as long as one's duty is done.

It's a stressful job.  People have different ways of dealing with that.

Clinton had wimmen.  Obama had Reggie Love.  As far as I can tell, Trump has golf.

Much more wholesome.

Indians have plenty of Jackson pictures going in and out of their casinos.  Still doesn't mean you shouldn't consider the history and venue when having an event in their honor.  He may as well invite CBC members to the Al Jolson room.
I disagree.  Circle gets the square.

Same group of Coastal elites that think "Redskins"  is an offensive name,   while actual Indians love it!

These people are overly eager to "virtue signal"  to everyone how much they care about the "oppressed."   It reminds me of something I read about the virtue signaling ladies of Britain back in the Victorian era.

"They care deeply about children,  so long as their skin is "brown." "

"Lady Astoria is more concerned with starving children 5,000 miles away than the ones just down the street."

I am paraphrasing,  because I can't remember where to find the exact quotes.

I like dusty old tomes. I've read Shakespeare in old English - Chaucer is a piece of cake.

Not nearly as old as either, but I found Joyce to be the most punishing.  F that guy.

Fair point.

However, having jobless claims at 40 year low, GDP at over 3%, loosening Obama's ROE overseas, refusing to constantly apologize that the rest of us exist and finally at least an attempt to stem the flood of illegal immigrants buys alot of goodwill on the issue of excessive golfing.

From me anyways.

Yeah, can't fault Obama for the golf days.  They kept him out of the White House and he looked so cute doing it.
