Secretly recorded video gives look inside mafia ceremonies

Secret recordings that helped trigger a new mafia takedown offer an inside look at long-secret wiseguy induction ceremonies.
Brooklyn federal prosecutors unsealed a case Thursday that used covert video and audio recordings to let authorities listen in on how a made guy gets made.
"The reason why we're here is from this day forward, you're gonna be an official member of the Bonanno family," one of the busted men was allegedly recorded saying in a 2015 ceremony in Canada. The unidentified man getting inducted was the same one doing the recording.
