Las Vegas mass shooter Stephen Paddock's brother arrested for child porn

The brother of the man behind the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history was arrested early Wednesday on child pornography charges in California, officials said.

Bruce Paddock was arrested early Wednesday, a law enforcement official briefed on the investigation told The Associated press.

Paddock was taken into custody at an assisted living center in North Hollywood, FOX 11 reported, citing law enforcement sources.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Fox News that a male suspect was arrested at the location in possession of child porn, but did not identify him because he has not yet been charged.

The arrest came after an investigation that began months before the Las Vegas shooting, after authorities received a tip Paddock had child porn on his computer, FOX 11 reported.

Authorities said no one knew where Paddock was living until another tip came in, leading police to the North Hollywood facility, law enforcement sources told FOX 11.

A guy living in an assisted living center, has child porn on his computer.  I wonder if he is stuck in that center, not able to go anywhere on his own?  If so, how did it get on his computer?

I assisted on a child porn case against our county judge.  Child porn will get you in prison, absolutely.  A Texas Ranger said one of the men the judge had on his computer FROM A WEBSITE, MIGHT be underage.  We proved the man was NOT underage and that charge was dropped from the case that he used his county computer for personal use.  The county had NO rules about using your county computer in the courthouse for personal use.  That case was brought against the judge because a Democrat District Judge wanted him out of office so a Democrat would have that job.  Several years later, that district judge was removed from office by the state of Texas commission on judges.  She should have been tossed out years before that.

Anyway, saying there is child porn on a computer makes it necessary to know where the picture came from and a determination if the picture is someone actually underage.

I assume this is more than that, but the allegation alone, without the particulars, does not particularly upset me.

Probably every human being on the internet has "child porn on his hard drive."  All you gotta do is look in the spam filter. 

I assume this is more than that, but the allegation alone, without the particulars, does not particularly upset me.

I've searched my hard drives for *.jpg, *.png, etc and never found any. Lots of images I didn't know I had but not porn.

Enjoy Free Live Chat with Asian Women (pics look like young girls, possibly underage)
Meet Hottest Russian Beauties (this pic is definitely over 18 - yikes)
Men and the women who love them... from "The Hard Truth About ED" (pic definitely older)
30,000+ Russian Girls Determined to Find Boyfriends (pics definitely show youngish girls)

None of these were child pornography in the sense of showing explicit imagery, etc.  But in the hands of an aggressive prosecutor who wanted to nail me for something, could be painted a certain way.  And they did exist on my hard drive, even though I had never seen them.

So i guess you may have clicked open some emails on this. Perhaps you are just referring to the email header?

Most people know not to click the links, it means almost certain adware or malware. You wouldn't pick up any adware or malware just from opening these emails, but if you do open them, then they place you on a "cream" spam list of sorts.

The guy had nothing. Was a drug user and previously was squatting at an auto repair business. But here he is found living in an assisted living facility awaiting back surgery. Probably all at the taxpayer's expense.
