Yes, I do too.  It's because Hillary threatened to badmouth them with tweets.  She tweeted yesterday about this specific bill, and see how the cockroaches like Ryan ran.  I called it.
Many things were said and done by people other than Hill-O-Lies in the last 24 hours regarding this issue. What evidence is there that Ryan's action is specifically related to Hill-O-Lies' words?

So young and yet so cynical, CL!!

Sort of OT:  There's a document called "Preventing Gun Violence through Effective Messaging".  It describes what the anti-gun advocate is to do and say to advance gun control.  Rule #1 - Page 40 - Do not wait for the facts, begin immediately sliming the NRA and talking about new legislation.  What's happening here with the HPA (Hearing Protection Act) is a prime example of this book in action.  Before noon, Hillary was tweeting about how much worse it would have been if the shooter had a silencer.  Tim Kaine followed up soon after.  More Dems and anti's followed suit even before the the bodies were cold - literally. Years of progress on this HPA issue shelved in 6 hours and the guy didn't even use a supressor (but imagine if he had!).  Disgusting!

I would argue that you are spot on about my being cynical, but I'm not so young.  The remark she made about "silencers" jumped straight out at me because I knew this bill was in the works, therefore why she said what she did.

Hillary is nothing if not the Queen of Hypocrisy.   Especially when she is bleating against Trump's adult kids for using private email accounts (gasp!).  It's really stunning .... the disconnect.... leftists like her seem to have.

In some ways, noise from a gun is a strategic advantage. Human beings naturally hesitate whenever they are subjected to a loud shout or noise - it is built into the nervous system. So close combat operatives are taught that when they are using non-suppressed weapons, to always get off the first series of shots when confronting an armed assailant. The loudness of the first shot even if off target, often makes the target hesitate long enough to get off a better-aimed one COM or in the head - which stops them.

I am thinking more of helping those women that might, at a critical moment, hesitate due to fear of the "noise" from firing that gun at an intruder in their home.  Not all women go to the range and practice enough to not be afraid of that factor.

Thanks for the information.  Hill-O-Lies is sort of like the head-lemming in a horde on their way to the cliff edge, it seems to me. Every time she makes some sort of political statement I breathe a sigh of relief. For awhile there, I thought she was going to go away and retire from politics.

I'm still confused @driftdiver ... what is the practical reason for using a silencer?

To save your hearing.  Guns are loud.  Wearing earplugs while hunting is dangerous.

After fifty years of movies with 'silencers' that are little louder than a good fart its no wonder the left found furtile ground for this particular lie.

@Right_in_Virginia
It has nothing to do with whether or not these are valuable tools.   Any effort to reduce federal restrictions on anything firearm related will be pounced on by the demonrats.   This is their sacred cow, if they could push through a gun ban it would simplify all their other goals.

Its not about safety or reducing crime, its about control.

Gun Control is disguised racism,  plain and simple.

Why help them @driftdiver ?  The goal may be honorable but is this really the best time to be standing up and demanding comfort for gun owners?

Why not stay away from this Pandora's box ... at least for a few months?

I agree.   The timing for this is bad right now.   In politics,  Perception is reality.

@driftdiver exactly.
The libs/dems of today are the Quislings of former years. The cowards who would vote a fraud into office in exchange for handouts from the devil.
