Former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon, during his brief tenure in the West Wing and his few months as CEO of President Trump's campaign, earned many nicknames among his admirers and his ever-expanding list of enemies. He was the "great manipulator," "Trump's Svengali," "the Grim Reaper," "Propagandist-in-chief."

Bannon: GOP Establishment ‘Trying to Nullify the 2016 Election’

Former WH chief strategist says Trump administration's 'original sin' was embracing Republican elites.
(I can't argue with that. What the hell was Trump thinking!?)

Gee.... what a novel concept you have there.

Nah.  It's DC.  Da Swamp.  It will never fly.  Just ask Snake/Maverick McCain.

DeSantis: ‘A Lot of Merit’ to Bannon’s Claim About GOP Establishment

Florida congressman suggests it's accurate McConnell and Ryan are 'trying to nullify the 2016 election'

by Kathryn Blackhurst | 11 Sep 2017 at 11:03 AM

Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) said “there’s a lot of merit” to former White House chief strategist Steve Bannon’s claim that the GOP establishment is “trying to nullify the 2016 election” and undercut President Donald Trump, during an interview Monday on “The Laura Ingraham Show.”

Bannon, who gave an interview that aired Sunday on CBS News’ “60 Minutes,” accused Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) in particular of stalling the president’s legislative agenda and failing to carry out the will of the people. When LifeZette editor-in-chief Laura Ingraham asked DeSantis if he agreed with Bannon’s assertion that the GOP establishment is undercutting Trump personally, he said, “I think there’s a lot of merit to it.”

"I mean — the swamp includes career Republican politicians, and I think those folks look at Trump and they say, 'He’ll be here four years, maybe eight years. But I’m going to be here another 20 or 30 years,'" DeSantis said. "And so I think their allegiance is more to the status quo and to the D.C. establishment than it is to the people who really rose up in these primaries and then in the general election."

"And I do think you see that time and time again," DeSantis added. "And that’s been a major source of frustration for guys like me who really want to put a lot of points on the board and start advancing this agenda."

Quote
STEVE BANNON: In the 48 hours after we won, there's a fundamental decision that was made. You might call it the original sin of the administration. We embraced the establishment. I mean, we totally embraced the establishment. I think in President Trump's mind, or President-elect Trump's mind, in Jared's mind, in the family's mind, I actually agreed with the decision. 'Cause ya had to staff a government. And to be brutally frank. You know, the campaign look, I'd never been on a campaign in my entire life, right? You know, I'm a former investment banker who's a media guy, running a little website. We were-- our whole campaign was a little bit the island of misfit toys. So he looks around and I'm wearing my combat jacket, I haven't shaved, I got, you know, my hair's down to here, and he says he's thinking. "Hey, I've gotta put together a government. I've gotta really staff up something. I need to embrace the establishment."

CHARLIE ROSE: I need to govern.

STEVE BANNON: I need to govern.

Yeah well I keep asking that about Trump.  I keep having the name 'Gorsuch' thrown in my face, and I have no fruits to examine on whether that nomination can be merited as evidence of Conservatism.

Of course to pull off a con, you have to give your intended victims some proof and evidence you are the real deal, so the upcoming swindle can net everything they own.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

This sounds like the sort of stuff posted from members of the Democratic Underground.

"Death to the GOP!" "Death to their politicians (McCain, in particular)!"

---

What does that say about Bannon and those that read his paper?
