Pete King on Trump, Schumer: 'It Was Almost Like a Love-In'

Rep. Pete King, R-N.Y. said that President Donald Trump and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N-Y., are getting along well after their Wednesday deal on the debt ceiling.

"It was almost like a love-in at times," King said after attending a White House meeting Thursday between New York and New Jersey officials that included Trump and Schumer.

"He and Chuck — both of them would interrupt each other at times — and they'd go back and forth and Chuck would say something and smile and the president would look at him and smile… this went on for the whole — let's say the meeting was around 40 minutes or so?" King said Thursday evening on CNN.
