Cruz fires back at Christie: 'Go back to the beach'

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) savaged New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie this week after he criticized Cruz's request for federal aid in response to Hurricane Harvey, telling the Republican governor to "go back to the beach."

In an interview with The New York Times published Friday, Cruz said he is "quite confident that nobody in Texas gives a flip what Chris Christie has to say.”

"And it seems not many people in New Jersey do either," he said, an apparent reference to Christie's languishing approval ratings. "Chris should go back to the beach."

I love SEn Cruz.

In some ways he reminds me of Dick Cheney. He not only knows how to sink the knife in, but then has the ability to twist it.

   I'm really looking forward to January 2019 (after his reelection) when he starts saying Truths, again, about our President.

I'm always hopeful that a majority of people will wake up and recognize he's the best man for the POTUS. We really missed an opportunity in 2016.

I'll support Pres. Trump when he's doing things I agree with, but I really would have preferred Sen Cruz.
