With the shot clock about to expire, Republicans on Capitol Hill may have the ball in their hands again for another chance at what was supposed to be an easy lay-up. Yesterday, Sen. John McCain — who stuck a stake through the heart of the previous ObamaCare repeal effort — announced that he would endorse the only vehicle left remaining. McCain even said that he’d put aside his distaste for operating outside regular order to vote for the Lindsey Graham-Bill Cassidy version of repeal-and-replace:

I knew someone that worked for the CBO and she assured me that it was *not* a partisan office and that politics never came into their calculations.

Yeah, she was mad at me because I insisted I could easily lower taxes and reduce the debt.  She thought no way in hell I could, until she realized I meant to do it by getting rid of EPA, DOE, DOEd, etc.  Then she got really mad. :)

Graham (R-S.C.) and Bill Cassidy (R-La.) that would end the ACA’s Medicaid expansion and insurance subsidies, and instead dole out money to states for whatever health insurance programs they favored. Of course the CBO is not partisan:  they are the legislative arm of the Deep State, and as such represent the interests of the Deep State, not of any political party.

I don't trust McCain no matter what he says. He could be laying a setup. We all know that McCain has a visceral hate for Trump and the Republican base that elected him. At the last minute McCain will say that he 'had' to vote against it, because of this detail or that detail, or this thing or that thing.


Then he will run over to Schumer/CNN/Pelosi for his earned high-five, just like he did last time.
