It was simply a response to the statement you made to Jazzhead about doing what the left does. Embracing the identity politics of the left doesn't equal winning or make us better.

The alt right have adopted the euro-right ideology or ethnocentric socialism. They are fascists no matter what pretty names they want to paint themselves with. Their sick ideology should be exterminated within the GOP or the GOP itself will be consumed by the cancer.

OK, du***ss, you have confirmed my initial skepticism.

Right on, CC.  Racists may dress themselves up to look nice, but that doesn't change who they are,  or lessen the danger to the GOP if it allies itself with their fascism.  The alt-right must be rejected, without equivocation.

What is there in that statement to not dislike? Are you a racist if you find those things to be wrong?

It certainly seems to me that some people would like you to believe it is racist to want everyone on equal footing instead of certain groups getting special treatment because of what they look like.  There is nothing wrong with that statement that was referenced, and just because you believe that does not mean you agree with the extreme beliefs of the alt-right.

When the whole Charlottesville thing was blowing up, I realized that the only source of information I was getting about the Alt-Right was from people who opposed them. It would be like if we heard this during the Obama presidency, "And now, to deliver the Republican rebuttal to the State of the Union, Senator Chuck Schumer."

Yeah, so.

I decided that it was incumbent on me to actually research what they believed from unbiased sources. Accordingly, I found the following video:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=QujdlVuufmc

I've only watched about half of it thus far, but I think I get the general gist of their position.

The basic premise is this: they believe that it is difficult, if not impossible, for whites to live harmoniously with other races, especially blacks. Therefore, they want an "ethnostate" - that is, a place where whites can live segregated. If not a full "ethnostate" then they seek to keep "white communities white" and to empower white communities.

While I don't support this position, I'm intrigued at the glaring double standard we impose on this group. Black groups have been calling on empowering black communities and keeping black communities black for quite some time.

Hell, Amazon is putting on a show where blacks get an ethnostate - THREE actually:

http://variety.com/2017/tv/news/amazon-slavery-reparations-series-black-america-will-packer-aaron-mcgruder-1202512379/

They say it is "reparations," but it's the same thing - a black ethnostate.

Blacks call for "space spaces" at universities. When the Alt-Right calls for "safe spaces" for whites, they are called Nazis.

Now, I haven't watched the whole video, but I'm 100% sure I have not yet heard any of the speakers call for the killing of blacks. I have heard BLM speakers call all whites universally evil, though.

So - while I don't agree with what the Alt-Right stands for - actually listening to their position paints them in an entirely different picture than the talking heads on TV paint while tripping over themselves to condemn them in the harshest possible terms.

How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!

But... but... but... we are told, in the finest Orwellian tradition, that set-asides, quotas, preferences, are just making everyone "equal".
Now, I'm not sure what mathematics they use in political science, but that would never work doing stoichiometry, nor engineering, nor hydrology, not in any other science I can think of. I think their level is a couple bubbles off, too. The field has acquired a definite tilt.

And no, that doesn't take any extremism to detect, just a level head.

If anyone goes and visits some alt-right websites, if they can be called that, and read the comments below many of the articles, they'll soon discover that many of the commenters have utter contempt for normal American values.
Many of these misanthropic people seek a nation devoid of anybody but white people, and their definition of who is white is very narrow.  I remember reading  a comment by one person who thought Poles and Slavs were not worthy of belonging to this super white nation he and others wanted to build.
And the anti-Semitism permeates these sites as well.  Even  though some of the writers and commenters profess their Judaism, they are frequently met with scorn by many of the commenters who frequently refer to the "tribe" as running everthing in the country.
So basically from what I glean from reading the comments below articles on alt-right websites is that while a number of the writers themselves do not seem to be totally absorbed with anger and hatred, many of the commenters do. Anger is not something to base your principles on.
I visit far right AND far left websites.  And while some of the writers have legitimate questions about the anti-white attitudes building up on the left  and soaking the school systems around the country, I don't want to associate with most of the people whose comments I read below the articles.
I don't seek an all-white country.  What I want is fellow countrymen and women are people who follow the constitution and love their country. And don't hate other Americans because they're not pure white.

Especially the part in bold. I don't hate anyone on superficialities, I don't really hate anyone at all, just some of the twisted philosophies and behaviours out there.
I strongly suspect that if some of the folks posting the comments ran an Ancestry DNA test, they might find they weren't as 'pure' as they thought, especially those who denounce the Eastern Europeans.

I'm also sick of hearing how these poor alt righters are only trying to fight back against oppression of whites. The nazis made the same claim of fighting back against oppression and their only path to justice was to exterminate the minority Jews in Germany till they ran out and had to exterminate Jews in neighboring countries as well.

Every movement on every side attracts its fair share of complete idiots. Conservatism, for example, somehow attracted Trump voters.

I'm happy to not see anyone here saying that.
