Trump Derangement Syndrome has reached epic levels at CNN.

On Saturday the host of the aptly named program “Smerconish,” Michael Smerconish, tweeted that he believed God had downgraded Hurricane Harvey to a Category 2 storm in order to allow the media to cover other news.

Namely, the resignation of Sebastian Gorka and the pardon of Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

This is bad news for all the media organs who were hoping for another Katrina-style disaster to blame on a Republican president.

There ought to be  a "Walter" named after Walter Duranty the NY Slimes columnist who portrayed Stalin's Soviet Union as a paradise on earth while millions of Ukrainians were starving to death. The award would go to the biggest (worst?) lying basta*d in the media...of which there are numerous contenders mostly on the left.
