White House Prefers Bipartisan Support for Tax Reform

White House officials have been engaging Democrats on tax reform even though support from the left is likely not needed and definitely not wanted by congressional Republicans, Politico reported.

Regardless, President Donald Trump's team has quietly been engaged with Democrats since June.

"We'd prefer bipartisan support for the tax plan," Marc Short, White House director of legislative affairs, told Politico. "We still think we can earn the support of [Democrats] on the tax package."

"Congressional Republicans" don't want democrat support. They want to fail passing anything, all on their own.

Stupid Party all over again. And people ask how Trump made it to where he is?

They don't just prefer it, they *need* it since they can't rely on their majority to get anything passed.

They would much prefer being the Minority Party.  All the perks with none of the responsibility.

And so Trump's inevitable turn to the left begins.
