Permitting sufficient legal immigration to foster a strong economy is not a "liberal" position.
There are more than enough people in this country to fill jobs. We don't need to use imported workers who won't assimilate to American culture and values to build a strong economy.
Hiring American workers is not "nativism". It's good solid business sense and vital to bringing our economy back.
Referring to the wall as a symbolic gesture and proposing to bring in foreign workers to stimulate the economy is very much a Liberal position and train of thought.
It has traditionally been a conservative, pro-business position.
No it hasn't. That is simply not true.
The nativism of the Trump supporters is, these days, in ascendency, but please don't mistake it for conservatism.
I don't mistake anything Trump does for Conservatism. I do support those things he does that are Conservative. Building a border wall to keep the invasion of illegal aliens from Mexico, Central and South America is not just a Conservative idea...it's one that is vital to National Security.
Why shouldn't employers be able to have legal access to the workers they need? Do you prefer they close up shop and move their operations to Mexico?
Because they have access to several MILLION workers here that are unemployed and out of a job. Several more million that stopped looking and that are no longer counted among the unemployed.
What I prefer is that the hostile business policies put in place by Liberals like yourself be rolled back so that businesses large and small have their ready made excuses for packing up and moving to a foreign country are taken away.
All you want to do is continue the bad faith practices of the Liberals like yourself that puts Americans out of a job in favor of cheap foreign imported labor.
