I am a newbie, and I am lost. How do I get to the Sports (baseball) thread.
I saw this, and my vote is Linda Ronstadt of the Stone Ponies, but OI dislike her. Saw her in a very small concert hall in Huntington Beach, CA. She could sing that song and make you cry.
But she dated the Jesuit Brother not to be Jerry Brown. So I absolutely cannot vote for her. My vote is null and void.
Could someone point me to where I want to go? Pretty please?
I think she turned queer after dating Moonbeam (understandable). She never dated again after that relationship except Jim Carrey for awhile (and he's not really a man, more like a child who never grew up). She claims (and Carrey admits) that they never had sexual relations. So it was platonic with Carrey (heh) IOW, he was her "beard".
Now, I'm not saying that she necessarily deserved to be punished severely for all of the monumentally idiotic things she said both on stage and off over the years. But she has Parkinson's disease now and claims that she can't sing any more.
I know she developed a severe eating disorder and put on about 100 lbs at one point. I guess joy in life is hard to find in anything except gorging yourself on food when you make a point to find things to be angry and miserable about every day (as leftists are want) and have no normal interest in love-making.
I think she's a good example of what happens when people are raised with money in Mexifornia (her family was very rich) they become loaded with "liberal guilt" and that makes them both insufferably ignorant/opinionated and prone to gross stupidity.
I think Jerry Brown is one of the craziest people in the world. The fact that he is governor instead of locked up somewhere in a mental institution is a mystery to me. I remember how he started screaming at a news conference one time because two conservative radio talk show personalities (John and Ken) had been mercilessly mocking him for his opinions on Climate Change. He got all red in the face and accused them of being "insane" because they laughed at his somber faced insistence that the people of California had to "save the planet" by spending at least $25 K per animal to put fart-collection devices on the backs of every dairy and beef cow in Mexifornia. SCREAMED with wild eyed hatred that John and Ken were "out of their minds". Uh, huh. Right. Sure, Jerry. They're the ones who are insane...
