Video: Marine dog with cancer gets tear-filled farewell in Muskegon

Hundreds of people in Michigan came together to salute and say a tear-filled final goodbye to a cancer-stricken dog who served three tours in Afghanistan with the U.S. Marines.

Wonderful, blessed animal, rest in peace, dear faithful one. Tears for Cena. I learned how horrible it is to watch your dog fade away from cancer. I lost Bobbi to this terrible disease 30 days ago.

I saw this story on the news and cried my eyes out.  8888crybaby

On another sad note, one of my BFFs lost one of her dogs in late June. She just got sick and went downhill very quickly. This weekend my friend learned that her other dog has lymphoma. He wasn't acting himself after the other dog died, so my friend took him to the vet. They couldn't find anything, so they could only guess that it was grief. He never got better. Instead he became disinterested in eating. She took him back to the vet on Saturday and they discovered that all his lymph nodes were very swollen. He had no infection, so they said they were 95% sure it was cancer. It's been a very weepy weekend.
