Quote
Eighteen-year-old Nick was an employee of a McDonald's in LaPlace, Louisiana, for five months. He was a general crew member, which meant he was tasked with a little bit of every operational duty at the restaurant.

Nick told BuzzFeed News that while on the job about a month ago, he was instructed by a manager to refill the ice cream machine. He'd accidentally spilled some of it, and so he tried to clean the areas of his mess, including the sides of the machine.

"I was completely shocked by what I saw," said Nick after he found what looked be mold completely coating the inside of a tray.

  • I could eat it raw but why when I have fire
I'd fire him too.   Clean it up, tell the boss but you don't need to take it public.

That was my first thought. If you see something dirty, clean it. If you have time to tweet, you have time to clean.

Apparently he didn't go public until some time had passed and more problems had occurred.

My boss would have said "Why the f*** didn't you clean it?"

Just last night while doing my walk through I found where custodial had swept the floors of the X-ray labs out into the hallway and someone had forgotten to vacuum the hall. I took a pic and texted it to the custodial team leader and not 2 minutes later he texted me a pic of the vacuum cleaner.  :silly:

I vacuumed it myself.

This happens for all companies. I remember there was a story of a Taco Bell swarming with rats in NYC a few years back. One badly run store can hurt them all.

And, then there's Chipotle.

  • Well EXCUSE me!
The kids is, well ignorant, the picture shows the drip pan from the rear of the freezing chamber which catches primarily excess lubricant from the drive shaft and seal. The lubricant is a petroleum jelly product and discolored from the friction of shaft against seal. My take is the kid was marginal or a troublemaker and posted to get even. In any case the cleaning of the drip tray was if I recall a weekly maintenance duty and had absolutely no contact with either raw or finished product whatsoever. But hey, it's Mcd's so whatever negative story no matter how absurd must be true. eh?

There were pictures of that store, too.  It is a shame how one bad store can tarnish a whole chain's reputation.
