There are a lot more problems with Obamacare than we had before it was enacted. A full repeal would not get us perfection but it would be a start. Unfortunately even with a full repeal which we will apparently never see, there are tentacles of Obamacare that can never be unwound.  As intended by the authors of that abomination.

The main component of ocare was the expanded medicaid which is a big mistake.  Whenever I see someone in the ER with a sore throat that came in by ambulance, I don't even have to look.  They are medicaid patients.  It costs them nothing to call an ambulance and run up a several thousand dollar bill in the ER for something that could have been treated for $25 in a walk in clinic.  But you and I have to pay for the most expensive level of care there is thanks to the government.  The whole thing needs to be flushed.  Since our elected officials are unable to do what we elected them to do, they need to be flushed.  Every one of them.  Maybe they can find a job as ditch diggers and sewer repair technicians.  At least it would be honest work.

Simple repeal would create a whole mess of problems.  That is both a function of the effed up nature of the health care industry pre-Obamacare as well as all of the additional eff-ups the democrats added (both intentionally and unintentionally).  Simple repeal would just compound the problems.

The real issue is that the damned GOP had 8 years to work out a replacement and, apparently, wasted that time on stupid empty rhetoric and pie-in-the-sky repeal.

Eight effing years to develop a good replacement, and they didn't do jack sh*t.

We do NOT WANT A REPLACEMENT.  WE DO NOT WANT THE GOVERNMENT'S HAND IN HEALTHCARE PERIOD.

We want it gone.  We want THEM gone.

They Eff up everything they touch.  They are Midas in reverse.

I trust the market before I trust Government.

There is no easy 'fix' to this because O'Care had only two payloads: wipe out the health insurance industry and put government in key position to take over the entirety of healthcare and ration it.  It was a plan to expand government to the largest bureaucratic behemoth ever seen in planet earth's history outside of Communist China.

Doctors and some hospitals are already refusing to take Medicare clients and an ale-carte pay-as-you-go industry is starting to sprout.  Get government out of the whole thing except to tear down those silly in-state pools and let companies sell insurance nationwide.  Congress can spearhead TORT reform.  Start there and watch a renaissance of sanity return to what was once the best place to get quality healthcare on the planet.

Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775

It WAS a good replacement.   But it couldn't garner the votes.  So we're stuck with O-Care as the law of the land.

Thanks, conservatives.

Yes, thanks. Let it burn. if not repeal, let it burn right down to the waterline.
