I have a Medicare Advantage plan with BC/BS, and have never had any delays in testing, specialist referrals, even knee replacement surgery. (And I'm in Alabama.) Do you think that makes a difference?

The guy went on my shit list when he started calling people who don't like McCain "Keyboard Komandos."  It's possible people who don't like McCain are patriots.  My finger is right on it.

Regadles of the results, he needs to step down.

At what age do you want us to step down and shut up?  Would that be 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, 120?  When?

I think when somebody is senile is a good start.  You are the expert, tell me McCain is sound in the brainbox.

@Cyber Liberty

Senility didn't cause this problem; the blood clot was in the brain and according to Graham, McCain had recently started having trouble speaking and not being able to remember.  This is likely to be labeled a stroke.

It sounded to me that the other poster wanted him out just because he was old.  What age is old?

It's not age.  He's not been acting soundly.  He hasn't for years.  He's our very own Ted Kennedy.  Look at that and tell me John McCain is a wonder.

He has had trouble remembering he is supposed to be a conservative and a republican off and on for a while.
I am not down on him for his age--my parents are in their 80s and doing well, my grandmother didn't start to lose it until her mid 90s, the other until nearly 100 (she lived to 101). I fully respect, perhaps more than I should according to some sources, his military service and time in the Hilton in Hanoi.
That said, I, like many posters here, find his tendency to side with the Democrats on some issues to be a disturbing trait that might be explained by cerebrovascular events rather than plain old crypto-liberalism. If brain damage, even transient cognitive malfunctions are related to organic processes and not simply faulty character and logic, then he either needs to address the health issues more fully, or, if they cannot be addressed adequately, should consider resignation. You wouldn't want someone who isn't fully in command of their faculties driving a truck, driving a country affects far more people.

It has nothing to do with his age. Next month we will celebrate my great aunt's 90th birthday. I'd vote for her over almost any of the current professional pols.

What repeal?

The press is playing the same game Trump is: calling this abortion a "repeal" so they can later say, "You got your repeal? What more do want?"
How to lose credibility while posting:
1. Trump is never wrong.
2. Default to the most puerile emoticon you can find. This is especially useful when you can't win an argument on merits.
3. Be falsely ingratiating, completely but politely dismissive without talking to the points, and bring up Hillary whenever the conversation is really about conservatism.
4. When all else fails, remember rule #1 and #2. Emoticons are like the poor man's tweet!

I certainly am not holding his age against him, but it would sure seem that most people at his age who suffered a serious health condition requiring surgery would re-evaluate going back to work, especially when they are financially secure.  His estimated net worth is $21,000,000.00.  Sure he may love his job, but at 80 years old, he just may want to consider doing something else in life.
I Believe in the United States of America as a Government of the people, by the people, for the people; whose just powers are derived from the consent of the governed; a democracy in a republic; a sovereign nation of many sovereign states; a perfect union one and inseparable; established upon those principles of freedom, equality, justice and humanity for which American patriots sacrificed their lives and fortunes.  I therefore believe it is my duty to my country to love it; to support its Constitution; to obey its laws to respect its flag; and to defend it against all enemies.

I don't think his tendency to suck up to the communist Dems is because of his brain.  I think it's because he's been deceiving people about his true feelings.   He's a Democrat, lying about his true beliefs since he was a Rep in Congress, on the GOP fast track.  He was my Rep since the very beginning, so I've been watching far longer than most people.  AZ, 1st District.

You don't have to bribe a true believer.

I doubt he can come back.  He will get there for that vote, even on a stretcher, and I think that will be it.  He is not allowed to fly, but he said he would go by auto to get to Washington for that vote.

I think it is poetic justice that McCain is in the driver's seat about this vote.  After Trump blasted McCain for being a prisoner, now McCain holds the vote Trump needs.  You can complain about McCain, but Trump has no redeeming value.

McCain is a snake in the grass, he was during Bush's entire Presidency.  He never got over losing to Bush.  It was McCain's turn. dammit.

He will come back, as long as he has a breath in his lungs.

Medicare Advantage plans aren't affected by Obamacare.

IIRC most of the $500B taken from Medicare to pay for obamacare was reduced reimbursement to Advantage providers, forcing them to reduce coverage and raise premiums, deductibles and copays...

You speak of Quentin Burdick, who was (as related by a friend) unable to carry on a coherent conversation on the airplane from D.C. The next election, his staffers ran file footage, propped him for a couple of photo ops, and did the voice-overs to get the ads to get him reelected one more time (because they really liked their jobs)--and succeeded, only for him to die while in office.
