I've thought about that a considerable amount because I was NT for a short time. I hated Obama and think he is a traitor.
Trump is a crass, spoiled kid who has never had to pay for his mistakes. Trump is not a traitor and has done some pretty good things since coming into office. If Cruz had done these very same things people on the right would be cheering.
IMO if you approach Trump the right way he will change his position. He is the best of the two bad alternatives and can hopefully help pull us back from the abyss.
However he can't do it alone and sitting on the sidelines cheering for him to fail is only hurting the country, which those people claim they love.
Again, expounding on my thesis of irrational hate for the sake of hate and nothing more, the question is, 'What is the goal?' Even if Trump loses his office, 'So what?' Then we have Pence, who agrees with almost all of Trump's policies and Trump's staffing choices. So what would change?
That's what I mean when I say there is no purpose or direction to their hate. There is no 'plan', and there is no better option. I can't figure out what they want, or expect to happen? That is what I mean when I say it is mindless hate. It really is. It is purposeless hate with no clear goal.
And again, I feel sorry for them, but at the same time I am glad I do not have to live like them. It must be terrible to wake up every morning and to have to face another day. Sad.
