Even in pop culture, fighting to defeat an opponent is an archetype. One can just imagine Rocky or the Karate Kid fighting back against bullies.
...and in the face of all that, we have the claim that Trump is a fighter and going to war, but then reading his tweets and other reactions, the closest reference I can find to how he is fighting is Cartman on South Park.
