I'm not on twitter. As such, I don't get ANYbody's tweets.
But I think Mr. Trump should keep right on tweetin'.
Consider:
Back in the days of, say, Richard Nixon, how did the ordinary American -- YOU -- find out "what he said"?
You turned on the news or read it in the papers. That was how a president "communicated" to "the people" -- through the filter of the media.
And by editing or omission, the media could shape, and thus control the message.
But not any more.
When Mr. Trump sends out a tweet, it can be picked up by anyone, getting the message straight from the horse's mouth. (heh).
No media to intervene.
No press secretary.
Just Trump... to you.
Maybe it's only 140 characters.
It's not a fireside chat.
One can't say a lot.
But one can "get the message across".
I like the idea.
Maybe he ain't eloquent; I'm not either.
But I don't care.
Trump can let us know what's on his mind.
WITHOUT the media having ANY control.
And that's fine with me.
