Nancy Pelosi: GOP more to blame than Democrats for harsh political discourse
by Al Weaver | Jun 15, 2017, 11:47 AM

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., argued Thursday that Republicans are more responsible for the downfall of political discourse than Democrats a day after House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., was shot during a practice ahead of the congressional charity baseball game.

At her weekly press conference, Pelosi was asked if she saw the "worsening in political behavior" equally in both Republicans and Democrats but she replied, "No, I do not."

She then listed out a series of examples of harsh political rhetoric from the right.

How can you tell the difference if a liberal has dementia?

It is entirely predictable she would do this, since it her lousy political job.

What is disturbing, is so called conservatives and Republicans on her same page.

Reactions by political leadership to this tragedy, where republicans are targeted and shot by a leftwing wacko, is classic and perfectly encapsulates whats wrong with the uniparty: Republican Ryan says 'an attack on one of us is an attack on ALL of us'; Democrat Pelosi says 'its the republican's fault'.

In another world it would be funny.

Pelosi is probably trying to bait the right with these comments, like she was trying to bait her critics when she took the smirking stroll to the capitol to pass ACA you show in that picture.

You can be assured if the role was reversed, and it was some right-wing kook who had shot a Democratic Congressman, that the Dems would not have been calling for unity and calm. They would have been on every station, and in every paper, using this to score political points against the Republicans.

I'm sure Democrat talking points like "Conservatives want to starve old people to death/kill blacks/kill the poor/make people drink dirty water and breathe dirty air and deprive people of health care has not contributed at all to the 'harsh political discourse' in the country.

They project what they, themselves are doing, exactly as Alinsky taught them to do.
Fart for freedom, fart for liberty and fart proudly.  - Benjamin Franklin

...Obsta principiis—Nip the shoots of arbitrary power in the bud, is the only maxim which can ever preserve the liberties of any people. When the people give way, their deceivers, betrayers and destroyers press upon them so fast that there is no resisting afterwards. The nature of the encroachment upon [the] American constitution is such, as to grow every day more and more encroaching. Like a cancer, it eats faster and faster every hour." - John Adams, February 6, 1775
