The president has threatened to oust his chief of staff if major changes are not made, but many are skeptical he’ll follow through.

President Donald Trump has set a deadline of July 4 for a shakeup of the White House that could include removing Reince Priebus as his chief of staff, according to two administration officials and three outside advisers familiar with the matter.

While Trump has set deadlines for staff changes before, only to let them pass without pulling the trigger, the president is under more scrutiny than ever regarding the sprawling Russia investigation, which is intensifying the pressure on his White House team.

Trump is (apparently) afraid to just outright fire Priebus.... for fear of further antagonizing the GOPe.  Imposing this impossible deadline and sticking to it amounts to the same thing though...."if" he follows through.... since cleaning up the WH would take a helluva lot longer than "by July 4" to accomplish.

I'm no fan of Priebus but I can't see that he's done anything one way or the other so nothing will change. He's just a handy scapegoat for Orange Glorious.

The difference is he can claim he gave Priebus a chance,  and that it's Priebus' own fault that he couldn't do the job.

Trump blames Priebus for the Russian affair.  He wants Priebus to clean it up, whatever that means.  Trump fires people because they are not him.  He thinks only he can do anything right, so he fires people because they are not him.  Priebus didn't start the Russian thing, but Trump blames him and not himself for keeping it going.  I have said over and over, Trump must have chaos every day, and if it isn't there, he will start it.  No one can clean up the chaos Trump starts because he starts it new every day.  He has done that all his life.

Another "I hate Trump"   comment.       Why don't you just make it your tagline?   It would save a lot of trouble.    I don't know why you and others feel the need to constantly remind us that you *HATE*  Trump,   because we all "get it."   

Just a more honest "I *HATE*  Trump"  would command greater respect.

That is underestimating  your opponent.   Trump wins more by people underestimating him than he does for many other reasons.   They all think he's a doofus,  and yet he keeps winning. 


A Machiavellian sort of fellow like Trump might also fire people "pour encourager les autres." 


In fact,  I think that is his number one reason for doing it.

I would think if there were actually this many leaks the source would have been found by now. The circle of people who had access to some of the information released is very small. It's not rocket science. Makes me wonder if this is a false flag operation designed to deflect.

Trump's done some good things, but IMO he needs to move from campaign mode to governing mode. I suspect you and your fellow Trump supporters love his tweets, but it doesn't appear to be moving the ball forward.
