Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, has threatened to issue a subpoena to Fusion GPS, the firm that funded the opposition research dossier on President Donald Trump.
In September 2015, a wealthy Republican donor hired Fusion to compile any information on Trump's weaknesses and scandals from his past. The firm hired former British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, who put together dozens of reports and sent memos, which were later shared with the FBI and The New York Times, alleging that Russia had compromising information on the president.
