Perhaps trump knows there's nothing to investigate, and this is the only dem he trusts not to put politics over justice, and by choosing him he neuters some of the coverup arguments you'd hear if he went with someone like guiliani.

Or susan rice isn't taking his call.

I used to be able to say that I knew of one Democrat that I didn't detest and that was Lieberman. When he left the party I could no longer say that. But that doesn't mean I think he would be good for that position .... or any position in the Trump cabinet.

They control the Broadcasting system in this nation, so they can tell everyone what is cool, and it's always going to be whatever they believe is cool, is "cool."

I'm sure that's at least part of it. What better way to distance yourself from what many perceive to be the racist antisemites? It will get him a little support, or perhaps not "support" so much as a little less hatred, but I think Trump's reasons have more to do with him being a well respected Democrat that is regarded as relatively reasonable for a Democrat. Sensible even.

I always thought Lieberman was one of the better members of their group. *He* did not piss me off like most of them. He was like Sam Nunn in that regard. Not a bad person .... for a Democrat.

I don't think he would be great for the position, but I can see where Trump might think he would be better for Trump's politics.

Leiberman retired from the Senate in 2013. He isn't caucusing with anyone.

I agree. Trump really is a master of the ol' razzamataz bait and switch routine. We saw that during the campaign. He had the press running around in circles. They kept trying to corral him into some predefined 'bracket' that they could hammer, but he always gave them the slip using misdirection.

Who knows what he's going to do? And most predictions concerning Trump come up wrong.

Technically, Loserman is not a Democrat. He "caucuses" with Kasowitz, Benson, Torres & Friedman and the others at the white shoe law firm he works at. He ain't in politics anymore.
