@Jarhead

Please stop yelling and calm down, okay?

Last night it was "didn't happen."

Then Trump says it happened.

Now it's "doesn't matter."

That too is a completely false narrative. And I am quite calm

As I shared in the other thread we still have non critical thinkers again putting inserting meaning into words that don't exist

Yeah. They're always serious until they're not.

So they stated last night no sensitive or classified information was shared during the meeting. Now we have liberals loading the boards stating he is contradicting his own staff and then point to the WAPO article and tweet as evidence. His tweet said he shared information beneficial to both parties. Well DUH! Of course he did. Did we think he invited them over for crumpets and tea? Was it revealed WHAT info was shared in that tweet? Nope. But WAPO tells us it was classified info so it must be true. It couldn't have been joint information on a strategy on terrorism it HAD to be classified information with the Russians that's it! Because well you know there is collusion there and we need this to play out his entire first term so the real investigations around Hillary don't start.

You can't make this stuff up. There is an active coup and the mindless are getting right in line

I don't just think we deserve better... I know we deserve better.

We, as a freedom-loving nation that has sacrificed countless souls to preserve that freedom, deserve better than a Pravda-like leftist "news" media that only reports what furthers their leftist agenda.  To say otherwise is an admission that you're ok with that radical left agenda.  And I'm pretty sure that's not the case with you.

I'm no Trump fan, but this constant assault and 'take Trump down' BS is what it is.  And it's OBVIOUS what the goal is by the idiot left that is pushing it.  If they are successful, we're back at square one with Hillary or yet another rabid leftist in the White House.

JS.....

Can't agree with you on this, @Xena.

How many babies were aborted last year, and how many have been aborted in total since Roe vs. Wade?   I think we should probably be praying we don't get what we deserve.

Look, last night my husband and I agreed that we hoped this wasn't true.  For the sake of the country and those involved, I still don't want it to be.  But when Trump comes out and seems to confirm it...?  What do you do then?  I don't believe he's a traitor.  I think it's a combination of ignorance and arrogance on his part.

The original intel on the laptop threat may well have come from some other country, but the idea that the existence of that intel was actually still secret is just a joke.

It's embarrassing that some think that this story is news worthy. Big Media tells them to jump and they ask, "how high".

The only question is when will they realize they're being played. And do they care.

Agree ... Great Britain has this ban in place already.  This article is from March 21, 2017:

@Maj. Bill Martin

Exactly.  The ban was in place in a lot of places, and we all knew it was because of a terrorist threat, even though the Administration never actually came out and said that specifically.  So while it was technically still classified, it was widely known anyway.  For the President to discuss that reality with the Russians should be a non-story, except there are plenty of media organizations and politicians who will grasp at any straw they can if they think that's the one that will break the back of the Administration.

Just because the rabid left, the minority in this country, have forced abortion (and ObamaCare) down our throats against the will of the majority (that would be us).... doesn't equate to the entire nation deserving to be destroyed ... which is what I think you're alluding to.  The fact that Hillary didn't win last November proves that at least for now, most Americans are against what the rabid left has been pushing and dragging us towards.

As for Trump, true he doesn't know what the hell he's doing, much less how to do it.  But he is, like all presidents, learning on the job.  It sure as hell doesn't help that he's getting barbed from all sides, even from supposedly 'his own side' in the GOP, and attacked 24/7 and non-stop.... even worse than George Bush had to endure.  It's all about the left taking revenge and trying to get their power back by any means possible.  I, for one, don't intend to help them re: that agenda by blindly accepting any and all of their fake/contrived BS they call "news".  I'm just funny that way.

We have no proof that it wasn't the Russian journalists and/or photographers who leaked this information.
Those same people were quick to release photos and comments about them yukking up the firing of Comey.

The excuse for letting the Russians in on Syrian intelligence is sickening.  They shot down a civilian aircrapt over Ukraine.   They are telling us to stop picking on the North Koreans.............for g-d's sake....this administration is a clear and present danger to the free world.

NO Russia is not our ally.

"Last night it was "didn't happen."

Correct last night the sharing of sensitive classified information did not happen.

"Then Trump says it happened"

That is what YOU read from his tweet. Read his tweet again because you've inserted extra meaning to it. Yes he shared information that is what happens in meetings yet all who attended meeting stated he did not share sensitive classified information.

You like others are taking the article from WAPO over that who attended the meeting and further imply your belief in Russian and Trump Admin illegal collusion. Which still no evidence has been produced to date.

That right?

You wait for information that explains the seeming contradictions, and it is out there.

Trump (and McMasters, etc.) did not claim that he did not reveal any information that was classified.  What was denied was the WaPo story's claim that this was highly sensitive information that risked exposing sources.

I really think Trump is eventually going to get tired of this, and hand the reins over to Pence.

I display the Confederate Battle Flag in honor of my great great great grandfathers who spilled blood at Wilson's Creek and Shiloh.  5 others served in the WBTS with honor too.

@XenaLee

But I don't think it's a "just because" situation.  I believe the moral decay is pervasive.  It extends into conservatism.  It isn't just abortion...it's a whole list of issues which concern social conservatives.  I won't get into them here, but those on our side are becoming increasingly unwilling to stand up for those issues, out of fear, or just because they don't care.  Or because they actually agree with the left.

i didn't say anything about destruction of the nation.  But look at the character of the man the Republicans nominated and elected.  I'm not going off on an anti-Trump rant, although I'm sure someone will accuse me of it, but objectively...the man stood on a stage and bragged about the size of his genitals.  No one cared.  His past was there for anyone to see who cared to look, but no one did, and that was during the primaries when we had a number of other choices.  The culture has degenerated, and that includes our side.

We've got to stop seeing it that way, though.  We've become so tribalistic that all we care about is the left's reaction.  That's the prime thing now.  Well, not for me.  The left can go to hell.  We have a president now who isn't managing things well, and we have to focus on that and demand better.

Erick Erickson knows one of the sources and has written about the situation in the White House, and why some of the leaks are happening.

Of course this will be dismissed by some as fake news, NeverTrumper, traitor, disloyal, blah blah...

It doesn't matter if he did reveal classified information, since he has the right to declassify as he sees fit.  Not my point.

Alright. McMaster said some more stuff. He seems credible and not a nit wit. So now I am going to have to decide if I should believe WaPo or McMasters. Still sticking with McMaster unless someone can show that he is a lying sack of shit.

It's embarrassing that some think that this story is news worthy. Big Media tells them to jump and they ask, "how high".

The core problem is that too many people feel compelled to leap to conclusions before actually getting all the facts.  Sometimes those facts take awhile to come out.  Sometimes we never find out the true facts, in which case, there's no need to reach a conclusion at all, unless there is some kind of decision that must be made by a certain deadline, like casting a vote.

What happens is that people end up taking every ambiguity that exists, resolving it in accordance with their biases, and then arguing from there.  And the problem with respect to Trump is that if you say something like "well, maybe we shouldn't jump to conclusions on this", that automatically makes you "pro-Trump" in the eyes of many.

That's not my core point either.  The core point is that the classified information he apparently did reveal was secret in name only -- the fact that terrorists were building bombs inside laptop computer cases that could not be easily detected was already public knowledge.  In other words, discussing that information with the Russians was not remotely irresponsible, as the WaPo story deliberately suggested.

A good rule of thumb is that the more I "like" an idea the more skeptical I need to be to maintain intellectual integrity.
