Ann Coulter on Wednesday made herself the latest cause célèbre in the rapidly escalating effort by conservatives to fight liberals on what was once the left’s moral high ground over free speech
Well, yeah, that's what this fight is about. The moral high ground. The left used to champion free speech and peaceful dissent, now they seek to shut it down. If Berkeley's going to be the Fort Sumter in the new civil war, well all I can say is that the cause is just. The left should listen to Robert Reich - their neo-fascism plays right into conservatives' hands.
The task for us now is to ascend the moral high ground, not cede it.
