Immigration: By threatening to shut down the government, Democrats got President Trump to back off his demand for money to start building the border wall this year. But so what? Illegal crossings are already way down thanks to Trump's other actions. And Democrats came off looking like out-of-touch hypocrites.

Border crossings may be down, but they'll be right back up there again as soon as conditions are favorable.
