Trump meets with freed Egyptian-American prisoner at White House
By Max Greenwood - 04/21/17 11:48 AM EDT

President Trump on Friday greeted Aya Hijazi, an Egyptian-American who returned to the U.S. late Thursday after spending three years in a Cairo prison.

"We are very happy to have Aya back home, and it’s a great honor to have her in the Oval Office,"  Trump said in the White House while sitting next to Hijazi, 30.

Hijazi, a charity worker who spent three years imprisoned in Egypt, returned to the U.S. after the Trump administration worked behind the scenes for weeks to secure the release of her and husband Mohamed Hassanein, as well as four other humanitarian workers.

Alas, it was said the Obama Administration tried to negotiate her release,

but to no avail
.

"But to no avail" sums up the entirety of the Obama Administration.

Two questions that Obama will not be asked upon his return to DC:

1.  Aren't you embarrassed to have been guests of billionaires over the past three months, enjoying luxury and extravagance not available to ordinary Americans?

2.  Why wasn't your Administration able to secure the release of Aya Hijazi and other humanitarian workers in Egypt? President Trump was able to achieve those releases in three months, vs the 2 1/2 years they spent in prison while you were President?
You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.
