That is exactly the argument many of the nuts at DummyUnderground made.  Incredibly, a number of them were blaming the NRA for this wacko's murder rampage.
That was too much even for some other Dummies who were incredulous that some Dummies would blame the NRA for the murders. Some of the idiots claimed that lax gun laws allowed this guy to kill, but some other Dummies, in a rare moment of sanity, informed them that California had already passed some of the strictest guns laws in the country. They even (gasp) said that the perp himself  might be guilty instead of Evil Whitey.
So if nothing else it shows that even liberal nuts have their lucid moments....not many of them, but it is encouraging that they're not all totally nuts.
