Oh goody!   The latest made up "fake news"  scandal about Trump from his haters.

Trump made it a big issue.  Your complaint should be with him.

Trump said he would release his after a supposed "audit" was done. Never happened.

You may have missed it,  but "Never"  isn't over yet.   I dare say had he taken care of this completely insignificant and silly detail,   you would all be bitching about how he isn't taking care of important matters instead.

The guy is a low life lying sack of shit.

Wasn't that your opinion last year as well?   So do you think you are achieving anything useful by constantly restating your previous dogma?

If he didn't want to release his, why didn't he just say so?

Why should I care?   Firstly,  I do not give a rat's @$$ about Donald Trump's tax returns.  I don't care if he cheated the government "Yugely!"   It is simply not a matter about which I feel any concern.   It is just another annoying distraction from issues I consider far more important.

What I see is this and other trivial issues being used by our enemies,  and constantly repeated by our side's malcontents who would seemingly prefer to throw the baby out with the bathwater.

And what good is going to come of any of these constant attacks on the guy representing "our"  side?

Do you think undermining his legitimacy and his character are going to have any positive effects in the long run other than stroking your own egos for having hated him "before hating him was cool?"

One or two sentences is all it would take.

@XenaLee, please stop and take a moment to examine how you're bending over backwards to make excuses for him.

On the big issues, I don't make excuses for ANYONE.   And I'm not making any excuses over this lame@ss, yet another nit-picking, minor issue.  I'm saying that some of you are being (and have been all along) unreasonable.   Big difference.

How long is this audit taking?

If he didn't want to release his tax return, he shouldn't have made up some obvious BS about it being because of any audit.

Period.

It remains to be seen whether you can trust him on this little thing re: his salary.  He has been inundated and overwhelmed, no doubt, for the past two months.  You guys want instant focus on all things simultaneously.  You know damned well he's no superman.  And not even a superman would be able to do all the things you're expecting in this short of a time frame.  Chill out on the little things and give it some time.  Just sayin....

You're beginning to sound like Mitch McConnell and his explanations of why he couldn't get anything done in the Senate..."If only..."

We can't trust him when he says he's going to donate a large sum of personal money to Veterans groups...and then he doesn't

We can't trust him when he says he's going to release his tax returns...and then he doesn't.

He can't be trusted when he asks a Deputy U.S. Attorney to stay on and not quit

We can't trust him when he says he's going to donate his salary...and then he doesn't.

This is called a pattern.  And not amount of bending over backwards to Trumpsplain or sucking your head in the sand in denial will change the fact that so far he has a problem with truthfulness when it comes to little things like what I listed.

So how do we know we can trust him when it comes to bing things of national and international importance?

Exactly. Trump could have either kept his salary, as he was well entitled to do, or quietly donated it. Because he choose to make such a big deal out of it, he's in another mess entirely of his own making.

That's not my recollection at all.   What I recall is that it ws a mostly throw away line at campaign rallies.

Yes,  I expect he will eventually do it,  (And will any of you come back and appologize when he does?)   but it isn't an important issue right now.

Right now I think this wire tapping thing is the most important issue going on,  especially because it has the potential to destroy the legacy and hopefully the remainder of Barack Obama's life.

Other than destroying the media,  I can't think of much more important tasks than destroying Obama and his snakes embedded in the Deep State.

You don't.  But how about waiting until he does something really, really wrong re: big things of national and/or international importance before you take up 24/7 kavetching.  Thus far, I haven't seen that happen.  Have you?

Who cares?   I don't care if it ever finishes.

I think making up some obvious bs about it to make this stupid and trivial issue go away is a very sensible thing to do.

That's the absolutely wrong time to find out whether someone is trustworthy or not.  When it's a SHTF moment is not the time to discover that you can or can not trust the CINC to keep his word and to not lie to you.

That's like waiting to find out if a tank crew can operate their weapons system or not until war breaks out.

It isn't a "mess."   It is a big fat nothing.   It is you malcontents who are trying to make it into a "mess",   but it is in fact a tempest in a teacup.

It is actually pathetic that you have no better issue on which to grind your ax.

No.  The Obama wire tapping issue is a minor issue compared to our current national security problems.    There are moles and holes in our security right now, probably intentionally created by the Obama leftists, that our enemies (including Iran) will use against us if at all possible.  If our enemies without manage to nuke or attack us right now, we won't have the leisurely time to fret about any past wire tapping BS.  The wire tapping is just another distraction that needs to be put on a back burner since it's in the past.  We need to focus on the here and now.

I consider that to be the exact same thing as the wiretapping issue.   We are seeing the power of the "Deep State"  trying to engage in a coup against an outsider they hate.

Same issue.   Just different aspects of it.

Well tell me....just what the hell do you think you're going to change with this constant assault on his 'credibility' or truthfulness?  Do you really, seriously, think that you're going to get him out of the White House ""before"" something major (SHTF) happens?   If so, you're dreaming.

The reality is, he IS the CIC, warts and all.  Speculating on how he will handle a SHTF moment based on all of this other minor, petty bullcrap is just stupid, IMO.  It's distracting from the real issues like national security.  I want ALL of his focus on that right now until we can secure the things that Obama screwed up (intentionally).  All else is irrelevant.

Well I presume that our intel agencies are monitoring for any "Deep State" activities against this nation currently.  I'm more worried about Obama's buds on the outside of the USA and what they are up to.

I want to see his tax returns.  Mainly because it's traditional for US presidents to release them and he needs to follow that tradition, plus show that he has nothing to hide.  But also because he said he would.  I expect to see them released before 2018, but I'm in no hurry.  Much more important things to care about right now.

The only one dreaming here is you...you've got this weird dream going on that I want him out of the White House.

I merely want him to stand by his word.

That little thing called integrity.

What do YOU think you're going to accomplish by constantly sticking your head in the sand and explaining away his miscues so far?

It's obviously way above your head why trust about the little things matter.  You've never been in a situation where the ability to trust the word of the person to your immediate left or right is the difference at times between life and death.

I happen to be one of those that has to go out and help execute the pointy end of the spear where things like National Security is concerned.

So yeah... trust on the little things is a BIG thing to me...and others who wear the uniform.

And again, your focus on the little things (like every single petty thing the idiot left dredges up to use against him) is accomplishing NOTHING.  But hey.... flail away.  This daily, 24/7 bitch-fest is fascinating to observe.  And....I'm almost getting used to it.

Trump wants media to decide where to donate his salary
Washington Times, Mar 13, 2017, Dave Boyer

President Trump intends to follow through on his promise to donate his government salary to charity, and the White House said Monday that Mr. Trump wants journalists to decide where the money should go.

Mr. Trump, whose salary by law is $400,000, would like reporters to “help determine where that goes,” said White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

The president has feuded frequently with the media in the early days of his presidency, often criticizing some outlets as “fake news.”

When a reporter at the White House daily press briefing suggested the money pay for journalism scholarships, Mr. Spicer replied, "That'd be a great way to do it".

I she's looking for suggestions on where to donate it...my suggestion is to one of the Armed Forces relief funds or to the Armed Forces Retirement Home there in D.C.

At least at those places we know it would be put to good use.
