My 'Viking Hunter' High Adventure Alternate History Series is FREE, ALL 3 volumes, at most ebook retailers including Ibooks, Barnes and Noble, Kobo, and more.

In Vol 2 the weapons come out in a winner take all war on two fronts.

Vol 3 opens with the rigged murder trial of the villain in a Viking Court under Viking law to set the stage for the hero's own murder trial.

That's not my point.

The countries we're currently having shoved at us as Free Trade Partners are taking us to the cleaners with trade barriers to their own importing of our goods.

Just 2 examples

China

https://ustr.gov/sites/default/files/files/reports/2015/NTE/2015%20NTE%20China.pdf

Japan

https://ustr.gov/sites/default/files/files/reports/2015/NTE/2015%20NTE%20Japan.pdf

We buy/import their products as they laugh in our face at the thought of buying/importing ours.

Bannon spent all of last week yapping about economic nationalism.

To me that screams a mercantalist outlook on international trade.

or maybe we should stop living the past and realize that factories are not going to be coming back and not going to hire an army of workers like they used to do in the past.

Factories are not coming back?

With a corporate income tax of over 35% do you blame them?

No matter how many times I say this it keeps getting lost in the Free Trade Anti Tariff "We're All Gonna Die!" sloganeering I expect from Liberals, not Conservatives.

Quote Me.

Corporations Do Not Pay Those Taxes.

The Consumer Pays Them as a Pass Through tacked onto the MSRP. If those taxes came out of the corporation's bottom lines the Investors would pull out overnight, OR, the corporations would be/ARE, forced to move their manufacturing operations out of America.

BS!  With the right laws and policies in place they would come back in droves and virtually overnight!

Well if Tariffs are raised then Corporations will raise the prices. Seriously, why should the Government be involved in protecting jobs racket?

Thank You for making my point FOR me.

Drastically cut or Abolish the Corporate Income Tax/Consumption Tax (which is what it really is) and your bogeyman Tariffs won't be an issue, because we won't Need to import cheap imported goods.

We can and will be manufacturing them here and selling them Cheaper than China and Japan are.

No 1st world nation can survive without a broad based, consumer oriented manufacturing base. Simple economic/national defense oriented nuts and bolts.

You do realize that if factories do come back (believe it or not we still have them), it will mostly be automated..

Heard all about it.

Automation is at least 10 years off.

Look at what Lib cities have done to the fast food jobs by raising the minimum wage to a 'Living Wage' of $15 an hour.

That is a break point that's lead to Fast Food killing jobs by going with automated order takers.

Keeping costs down is what keeps industry competitive which keeps industry in business.

Ergo, kill the Corporate Income/Consumption Tax.

What started This next Tax Cut, in Hungary?

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2016/11/17/hungary-to-cut-corporate-tax-to-eu-low-percent-in-2017.html

Trump's campaign promise to cut the Corp/Consumer/Consumption Tax down to 15%.

The Hungarian Govt went into "The Americans will steal all our jobs!" mode.

The corporate income tax is, in function, a VAT and the problem with it is FAR bigger than just the taxes themselves!

The costs of complying with it are tremendous and are there whether or not there is any actual tax liability!

You do realize that all that automation has to be maintained and controlled by PEOPLE don't you?

I also support a fair tax or VAT as a replacement to income tax.

But a tariff is just a damn tax. Paid by consumers. Nothing more.

Sure. But not as many people are needed when things are heavily automated. That's the point.

A tariff is a HIDDEN tax on consumers. Nothing more.

And important clarification if I may!
