I had considerable respect for McCain as far as his POW experiences were considered. But after all these years, with nothing else worthwhile in the intervening years, I'd say he has milked that respect for all it was worth, and the cow has run dry. As to McCain masquerading as a Republican -- no, he is what the Republican Party is now. The party gave up any semblance of conservatism and is now a facsimile of the liberal, socialist Democrats.
