Did anyone notice anti-Trump 'Day Without Immigrants'?

Establishment media widely reported Thursday’s “Day Without Immigrants” protest against President Trump’s enforcement of immigration laws, but how much of an impact did the boycott actually have?

“It was a big deal for the reporters, who are paid to cover this sort of thing,” said Ira Mehlman, spokesman for the Washington, D.C.-based advocacy group FAIR, the Federation for American Immigration Reform.

“I don’t think the rest of the American public really noticed all that much,” he told WND.

Didn't notice anything different in any way. Just another day like any other.

I guess all they proved is that we don't really need them after all.

You cannot "COEXIST" with people who want to kill you.
If they kill their own with no conscience, there is nothing to stop them from killing you.
Rational fear and anger at vicious murderous Islamic terrorists is the same as irrational antisemitism, according to the Leftists.

I didn't notice.  It was the same on the "government shutdown" that never was day.  Except for the idiot left making a stink about it... most folks couldn't tell the diff.  That alone is 'telling'.

Some lefties in a town near me decided they were going to hold a protest in support of making that city (of roughly 25,000 people) a "sanctuary city."

200 people showed up in opposition of sanctuary; only about 20 in favor. Oops.

Nevertheless, the Hillary and Bernie supporters still seem to be convinced they're the majority, and if only we had a true democracy, i.e., mob rule, they'd make everything right.

And the press making a big deal out of things that cause a collective yawn among the public at large ensures the Hillary and Bernie -ites to continue living in their bubble
I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them.

Neither side has a majority IMO.

The election pretty much laid out the division in this country, accurately.

Where we end from there I have no idea. America's institutions functions well when the division is like 55% -45%, 51% - 49%. But when neither side can form a majority, what happens?

The protest I described took place in a state that voted 68% for Trump, which makes a pro-sanctuary city protest even lamer.

Let's try a Day Without Media.

Why not? We already get a Day without Facts from them.  :smokin:

The internet itself is basically media. This forum is media. News is media.

If you're suggesting giving up electronics totally, hey, i can get behind that. :)

I did not notice, unless the local Denny's thought it was a convenient day to have its parking lot re-striped (which was actually happening when I passed)

They have done "Day Without Immigrants" before, it's not actually about Trump.
