Nevertheless, I do cringe when its and "it's" are improperly used.

to think the Internet plus careless campaign poster designers might be just that. (And you're talking to a guy who once got a letter
from someone talking about that music classic, and I quote, "It'sy Bit'sy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini" . . . )
I knew my (then future) wife and I were truly compatible when it became clear that she deeply understood the proper use of the apostrophe.
