1915-1944: The Invisible Klan was not the same kind of violent organization but still created outside of Atlanta.

And then it there was the post World War II Klan during the time of civil rights.

It's all a matter of history. Stronger in the North? I don't know, it was called the Invisible Empire because it was somewhat strong around the nation.  It seemed to have some popularity in Indiana and Ohio; but was in other states too.

There's more to the North than Massachusetts and New York.

After slavery was outlawed in the North, northern slave ships continued to transport human cargo to the South, in order to line the pockets of rich Yankees involved in the slave trade.

Pockets of slavery existed throughout the war in the North.

And about the absence of lynchings  and Jim Crow up there?  Not so much.

I love this man, Trump, he's like a Union General, the South held on to the immoral institution of Slavery and would have been demographically swallowed by the slave population, so the South also hurt the whole US, those cities like Detroit and Chicago have been hurt from that immorality. It will take someone like Trump to straighten up this nation, I hope he fairs better than Lincoln.

The first time I ever brought it up was when some DUmmie was posting at FR and spouting about reparations for the slaves and I asked said troll if they were going to make the Cherokee Nation pay them as well.

No need. History is well established. the Klan at no point officially switched to being a Republican front group. If Trump does X, Y, or Z, that will never change the fact their philosophy is based on Democrat party beliefs, attitudes and 'principles'. And without their guiding lights, they arent even the Klan.

Since no one had to pay to have an Irishman, as they did slaves, the Irish were considered expendable or were almost always given the most dangerous jobs where a person could get killed.  Slave owners didn't want to lose their investments on black slaves.
