Gabbard, as her own office has disclosed, took her “fact-finding” trip with a delegation of two men who are affiliated with an anti-Semitic political party accused of using female suicide bombers; of beating up Western and Arab journalists; helping U.S.-designated terrorist organization Hezbollah and the U.S.-sanctioned Syrian regime wage war in the Levant.

And did we mention the party’s ideology and flag take their inspiration from Nazism?

Gabbard initially declined to say who financed her trip to Syria. However, in a press release Wednesday Gabbard revealed her delegation (which also included former Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich) had been “led and sponsored by” an outfit called the Arab American Community Center for Economic and Social Services (AACCESS—Ohio). Her statement added she and the rest of the delegation had been accompanied by two men, Elie and Bassam Khawam.

Almost no information exists in the public domain about AACCESS—Ohio. Ohio Secretary of State records indicate it was founded in 1991, and has been in and out of existence ever since. It has sponsored just one other Congressional trip, one that brought Kucinich to Syria in 2006 and in 2011.

Its website is out of action. It has no identifiable social media presence.

Why is that, Frank?

She met with Assad and Trump.  She stood up and said that her party was funding terrorists and needs to stop.  Is this not true?

More MSM pap trying to defend the indefensible -- the US backing of the destabilization of Syria. 

There are no good guys in Syria (at least not with arms, I think Patriarch John X of Antioch and all the East, the Bishop of Haran, the kidnapped Bishops of Aleppo (one Orthodox, one Monophysiste) and so forth are good guys).  But now the defend-the-Obama-legacy crowd and the Russophobes (both old, the ones who can't see that Russia was a captive nation under Bolshevism just as much as any of the others and still think "Russia = Soviet Union", and new, the ones who would have been happy cozying up to Russia, just not when Trump, or would it be anyone with an (R) after his/her name is in the White House) want to vilify anyone, Congresswoman Gabbard in this instance, who comes to the clear-eyed conclusion that the Russians are right on this, the Assad regime are the least-bad-guys among the armed factions and those still fighting them, whether they get US arms or not, are terrorists.

Thanks Frank.  I don't know much about her other than she is ex-Military and sometimes annoys her party members.  My question was serious as I haven't read anything awful about her.  Yet.

She's still military.  A Major in the Hawaii Army National Guard.
