As reported by the Washington Post....

Eh, maybe it's true.  It's at the point where I don't care either way as long as the substance of what gets enacted/ordered is good.

I don't trust the Washpoo. Why would Trump's folks be leaking any dirt less than a week into his administration? I was going to say they must think we're stupid, but - unfortunately - most of the people reading the Post really are that stupid.

The attacks on Trump will be relentless.  If these attacks are designed to distract him from pursuing his policy objectives, they do not seem to be working.  I have concerns about Trump's childish impulses, but I also have confidence in his managerial prowess and judgment.  So long as I see the latter, i am willing to dismiss the former, and I think so will most people.  In fact, the petty stuff like the crowd size at the inauguration gives Trump's enemies something to chew on while he moves the football down field.  There may just be a method to his madness.  It served him well in the campaign, and it seems he thinks being president is no reason to change what has succeeded.

Trump is assaulting the radical American left with what is known as "shock and awe" tactics.  They skeered!  They're afraid that he really, really meant all those things he said on the campaign trail.  Ironic....since most of the anti-Trump folks on the right were/are scared that he didn't really mean it...lol.

It is absolutely fascinating to watch this happening.  For all his personal foibles, Trump's ego actually serves him well in that he does not allow himself to be distracted/cowed by criticism.  He keeps signing EO's and pushing through his nominees while the Democrats are too busy waiting for him to engage in damage control.  And Trump simply does not care to do that, for the most part.

I think Scott Adams really hit on something important in his essay.

The dust up over the crowd size was NOT petty.

They submit a photo taken at 7:30 AM and compare it with Obama's at 12 noon.

As a professor I'm sure you're familiar with Alinsky tactics.   They're trying to delegitimize his victory and passing this lie as truth will get the same results as that other lie, for example....."HANDS UP, DON'T SHOOT!"

This is a big part of why many of us accepted his personal "ego and foibles"...which we may personally dislike. That very self assurance...that bull in the China shop self-certainty...is precisely what is needed to drive change. Anyone who was self-conscious whatsoever would be quickly knocked off track or even co-opted (see both Bush presidencies) by the left media and polity. Trump is more like an angry pit bull chasing after red meat...he may run over hot coals, through a briar patch and into a pit of rattlesnakes...but he's going to get that damn meat. That's the only way we knock this mess back on track and on a path to Freedom and prosperity...and fairness...in this country.

The times call for a crude and certain Churchillian leader, not a smooth diplomat or pragmatist. Trump is our "fight on the beaches and never surrender" conservative leader...and despite all the critics, the policies he's moving forward are quite conservative. Its literally driving the Left mad, they are moving quickly beyond flabbergasted hysterics to real radical uprising...exposing their true selves for the public to see. That's a VERY good development.

Bottom line is that I saw nothing in his record to indicate he would govern like a conservative. And because of that I had no reason to hang my hopes on 'change' because we saw what happened with Barry's 'change'.

With that said, he has thusfar kept his word. And so I'll be happy to admit being wrong and support his conservatism. I'm sure he will do some things that piss me off greatly, but in the overall, if he keeps doing what he's doing, America wins.

And as another I agree!  Day four has been one for the books and the louder the left squeals are the better I like it!

I just hope to God he keeps proving we were wrong. The shock and awe has been exhilarating. Not so much for the left, but oh well ;)

Same here.  I'm enjoying the angst and pain he is causing our enemy within....the American left (Democrats).

Looking at his record there no way anyone could've known. He was a wild card.

I'm happy to admit my guess was wrong.

The photo that Reuters subitted wasn't 7:30AM. As soon as this blew up, I checked the metadata on the image and it was around 11:30AM. Reuters made a statement a few days later confirming that time. I know the 7:30 claim is going around social media but it doesn't match the images's metadata (hidden data within an image or file that tells when it was created, camera type and settings, etc).  If you have Photoshop or Lightroom, you can see it yourself. Go to Reuters and pull up the original, open it in Photoshop > go to File Info > RAW data. This isn't data that is easily manipulated either.

That, and 7:30 a.m. in DC in January is right around sunrise. The difference in daylight would have been obvious.
