@DCPatriot, MJ has a good point.  Trump will have a lot more allies if his supporters would realize MJ's point about how attitudes have shifted since 11/8.  There are a few Trump supporters here who are a little more enthusiastic about our new POTUS, and can't seem to forgive folks who didn't start out as Trump supporters. 

I don't include you in that group.  After all, if you and I can make up after the war, anybody can.

There was no malice in any of my posts on this thread.   Just making common sense observations.

Tweeting for Trump is a success.   I literally laughed out loud in the car when I heard him refer to the "Schumer Clowns".

DCP wouldn't return to the land of civilized humanity even if Trump himself invited him to.  There are very few who have earned my permanent contempt; DCP is in that very select group.

Most old Generals could never be confused with "statesmen."  I don't think Trump would ever be called one of those.  As somebody else said upthread, trying to be statesmen is how the Republican Party got us to where we are today, thus creating an opportunity for somebody like Trump.

Before that, we had a candidate who talked about his underwear, and justified his sexual affair with a child intern in the same manner as a dog licking his testicles ("I did it because I could.")  Trump, while being somewhat crass, is hardly a pace-setter in that regard.
