GARFIELD COUNTY, Utah - The 17-year-old student accused of killing a staff member and injuring another at a Utah rehabilitation facility is being charged as an adult.

Garfield County confirmed Clay Brewer, of Snowflake, Arizona, is facing multiple charges after beating 61-year-old Jimmy Woolsey to death at the Turn-About Ranch School near Escalante.

The facility advertises itself as a residential school and treatment program for troubled youth ages 12 to 18.

According to documents from Garfield County, Brewer was receiving treatment for a pill addiction.

The documents state Brewer had been at the ranch for five days.

I'm not even sure this merits being posted, maybe it is just a local-type of story.

Methamphetamine, some of these substances that are out there now, are really screwing up some of its users. Methamphetamine is not mentioned in the story but obviously, this youth was way off his rocker.
