@DCPatriot,
Wellllllllll, That didn't work very well!Sorry, DC. Maybe you could repost.
1. When I replied to your post--by clicking the "quote" button, it did not list your text as a quote.
2. So, I put quotes around your text and added my reply.
3. When it posted, it posted the whole thing as your post only.
4. Being clever me, {cough cough}, I decided I'd copy my part, and hit the "quote" button again and maybe it would work and I could simply paste my reply in.
5. I figured while I was at it, I may as well remove the mangled post--NOT REALIZING that would be the only record of your posting. Sorry. Maybe I could have hit undo. Didn't think about that. Silly me, again.
Anyway--Please repost, if you care to.
Here's my reply:
Such estimates are asked by virtually anyone a witness talks to.
And, many UFO sites and no small number of articles have suggestions for how to better estimate such measures.
And . . . some guess . . . for most interested in the topic . . . is better than no guess at all.
Everyone knows that no one got out a handy, just-happened-to-be-in-their-pocket digital laser distance finder and took a dozen readings.
And many military and police folks HAVE had training in estimating sizes and distances.
Most folks can hold a quarter in their hand at arm-extended lengths and describe what they are seeing in relation to that.
