Not as sad as listening to Never Trumpers arrogantly assume they are now welcome back in the political fold no questions asked.
Sorry, as real Conservatives know, actions have consequences. Trust, once lost, has to be earned back. #Never Trumpers don't get to jump in the week after the election trying to dictate policy priorites and appointments.
Uh...wtf???
In case you lost track, we live in a constitutional republic. Whether you voted for the President-elect or not (and I'm not just referring to Trump here), everyone has the right to petition for the redress of grievances, complain about the President, attempt to pressure him and/or Congress etc..
I voted for Trump, but your post illustrates perfectly the attitude that gave so many nevertrumpers heartburn at the thought of voting for the man.
And I may be going out on a limb here, but I'll just
bet you weren't issued some kind of card saying that you actually voted for Trump, just as nobody else was branded with a mark saying they didn't. So in terms of trying to influence the course of the President-elect, we're all pretty much on equal footing at this point.
Hope that thought gives
you heartburn.
