I know people who went to his rally in Dallas who have zero intention of voting for him. They were going just because it was a thing to go to and they could see a TV star. People like to be caught up in events. Like people who cry and leave memorials at celebrity funerals even though they have no connection to the celebrity and probably rarely thought of that person before he or she died. Or BLM where everyone who protests personally associates with the person who was shot even though they have zero connection with that person or really know nothing about that person.

Trump didn't win Dallas or Tarrant county in the primary, he came in third in one of them.
