I agree Norm.
To me, it is very sad. I see it from supposed and alleged conservatives. I see it from Christians. This willing acceptance and this self defeatism to say, "Oh well, it's a two party system. It's a binary election, so pick Donald or Hillary."
There's some truth to it as a matter of fact and a matter of what's going to happen. Barring a miracle, Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton will be our next president.
But indeed our founding fathers never set up a "two party system". God never set up a "two party system" in this country. And it's quite odd that so many of the people who complain about the "uniparty" continue without fail to vote for someone who runs under that uniparty banner. At this point I guess we can say they're not even consistent within themselves.
We had an extraordinary opportunity this election, and we actually still do. We had an opportunity to nominate and elect a conservative. We didn't do that. But then afterward, we had, and still have, the opportunity to recognize that America hates both of these candidates and make a determination to use that to do better and go outside of both parties and elect someone better for America. We've lost not only our principles but our courage. The only thing I can hope for or look to is utilizing this election to build something better going forward.
