A few years back a young hawk fell out of a tree it was trying to land in at the dog park I went to. I was able to scoop him up and and get outside the fence before the dogs got him, he hung around with me on my shoulder and arm for over half an hour before he decided to go, which happened to coincide with right when Fish and Game showed up with a carrier to take him. :bigsilly:

Read the story and learned the hawk is safely in the hands of wildlife rescue. I am so distressed thinking of the situation for so many people in Texas today. I cannot even begin to think of the animals, both wild and domestic, that may become victims.

Yes both the people and animals need our prayers, this is affecting so many and will take a long time for all the displace to recover.

Those were two goldens at the opposite end of the spectrum. The "winner" made me laugh out loud. Jackson was wonderful. I felt a pang in my heart when his owner said that everybody wants to take him home and no one wanted him a few weeks ago.

That is why I have rescue dogs- but I have little ones since I am not good at training. :laugh:

I don't know why they still call them Retievers, I have never met a Golden that was good but for two things, asking for love and giving it.

There's no way I can have the Vizsla or Golden I'd love to have, but seeing pooches make others happy puts a smile on my face!
