Donald Trump's campaign 'pulling out of Virginia' to focus on four key battleground states

    Donald Trump's former Virginia state chairman blasted the decision
    Corey Stewart told NBC the move to pull out was 'totally premature'
    'Volunteers have spent millions of hours knocking on doors,' he said
    Stewart was fired by Trump on Monday after leading a group of Republicans to protest outside party headquarters

Donald Trump's campaign is reportedly 'pulling out of Virginia' as he focuses on the four states of Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina and Ohio.

Three sources reportedly confirmed the decision to NBC late on Wednesday.

Trump's former Virginia state chairman Corey Stewart told NBC the move was 'totally premature'.

'The only thing the campaign had to do was spend money on an ad campaign and it would have been competitive... I'm just disgusted,' he said.

On Wednesday night Stewart issued a plea to Trump via Facebook and Twitter urging him not to pull out of Virginia.

Donald Trump's campaign is reportedly 'pulling out of Virginia' as he focuses on the four states of Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina and Ohio.

He is going to lose PA by a huge margin if the polling is right. This strategy is a waste of time.

Trump can win without Virginia. But without Virginia, he cannot win without either North Carolina or Iowa and Colorado. Right now, he's losing in all of these states except for Iowa, where it is close. But he's also losing in Florida and Ohio, the loss of which would render moot any consideration of victory. Way I heard it he hit terminal velocity and impacted a sewage pond. No one knows if he survived as they were unable to distinguish one turd from another during the search.
